Performing a master reset on your company's mobile devices enables you to restore the unit to its factory default settings. Once the master reset is performed on an Android device, you must re-register it with a new Google Account. You must also reinstall any software previously downloaded from the Google Play store and elsewhere.
.Completely power off the Cruz tablet. A master reset can only be performed if the device is completely powered down. Do not remove the battery.
.Press and hold the 'Volume Up' button, and then press and hold the 'Power' button.
.Release both buttons when the Cruz logo appears on the screen. Proceed to the next step when an Android logo with an exclamation point over its head appears on the screen.
.Press and hold the 'Power' button and tap the 'Volume Up' button. Release the 'Power' button and wait for the Cruz tablet to load the System Recovery menu.
.Press the 'Volume Down' button to highlight 'Wipe data and cache' on the System Recovery menu, and then tap the 'Power' button to select that menu item.
.Press the 'Volume Down' button to highlight 'Yes,' and then tap the 'Power' button to confirm that you want to perform a master reset of the device.
.Wait for the tablet to perform the reset. When it has finished, highlight 'Reboot system now' on the System Recovery menu and tap the 'Power' button to confirm. The Cruz tablet will then reboot, which can take up to three minutes.
